Standing with Our Muslim Brothers & Sisters

"Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters."
"The Church is at your side as you seek a more dignified life for yourselves and your families.”
~
Pope Francis to Muslim refugees

We Stand Shoulder to Shoulder

"May we work together for justice and peace! Salaam!"
~ Pope Francis, 2015
NAC’s response to hate and fear is to reach out and embrace the persecuted; to understand the hate and fear, to educate and to bridge the divide of miscommunication and misperception.

We have been actively supporting our Muslim brothers and sisters in America as they encounter fear and bigotry. Likewise, we urge support and prayers for refugees and migrants fleeing persecution and economic injustice.

There is more that unites every single one of us than divides.

NAC Responds to Supreme Court Decision Upholding Muslim Travel Ban

We need bold, fearless action that welcomes refugees of all faiths and nationalities – that welcomes the face of God.

The United States has an ethical obligation as a world leader to reduce refugee suffering and generously welcome refugees of all nationalities and religions into our country.

Sisters Write President Do Not Be Afraid

The Sisters ask, "Mr. President, why close our borders to those fleeing real atrocities, fleeing the ravages of war and the search for food, clean water and safety?"

"America is not a country that retreats and Americans choose not to live in fear of the ‘what if,'" they write.
