In July, a number of children’s
and health care and other advocacy groups came together to launch the Campaign for Children’s Health Care to help make high-quality, affordable health insurance coverage for all of America's children a top national priority. With recent Census Bureau Reports showing an increase in the number of uninsured children
in 2005 and Congress preparing to reauthorize the State Children’s Health Insurance Program or SCHIP (a federal-state
partnership that provides health coverage to about 4 million low-income children) in 2007, this campaign comes at an important
time and the National Advocacy Center is excited to be involved. Designed as
a nationwide public education campaign, the Campaign has a number of ways to become involved to help raise awareness about
the 9 million uninsured children in the country and push for policies to make sure no child (and eventually no one!) has to
go without health care. Listed below are some ways that you can participate in
the campaign, both individually and as an organization.
